Move You camp was borned

It all begins with an idea on 2018. We are Simi and Katka, two best friends and colleagues from dance world. Both of us studied Contemporary dance at VŠVU Bratislava and graduated with Mgr. art degree. In that year we organized our first intensive contemporary dance and dance composition workshop, Move-You Camp.

This project was born from a spontaneous idea when Simi and I were at the Cottage under Čertovica (Low Tatras, Slovakia). This magical environment prompted us to organize a summer school of contemporary dance there. We both love mountains, active recreation and especially movement, dance and creative energy together. We wanted to do something of our own, something we believe in and that fills us with joy. This has resulted in an extraordinary project that is the only one of its kind in Slovakia. One of a kind because of its concept and approach.

We still practice dance professionally to this day. It's a huge part of our lifestyle and thats why, creating summer intensive camp was our little solution to our "leftover energy" and creativity. Then we created project to share with the world and spread our professional expertice with other students and professionals. Regardless the first idea was, now we organize intensive summer camp for 7 years.

So we connected professionals and dance enthusiasts to explore different movement practices. It started with two week rounds. Today we organize 6 intensive days surrounded by nature in our special outdoor dance studio. You are not close to big city at all and thats the magic of our Intensive program. Learn, dance and move. Creating inspiring and powerful environment is key. And we were lucky to this day to meet amazing people who want to learn, enjoy the moment and be supper devoted with the program of each day.
